The spiritual thread amazed and delighted me, and took me to mountaintop experiences that are few and far between.

When James L. Rubart’s first book Rooms came out, I read it and loved it—the twists and turns, the spiritual depth, the engaging characters. So, when The Book of Days released, I wondered how he could top that. Not knowing what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised to find Days completely different. I doubt I’d even put them in the same genre.

The well-developed characters are there, as are the surprises in the plot line. And the spiritual thread amazed and delighted me, and took me to mountaintop experiences that are few and far between in most of our lives. I reveled in the experience.

With a story concept that reveals the search most tribes and nations have to find a specific, special connection to their creator, Rubart takes readers on an interesting ride through the mountains, revealing the beauty of the world around us. Add the thread of hidden secrets and suspense, and the book hooked me from page one. I had a hard time closing it when I absolutely had to take a break from reading it.

Think National Treasure but with a spectacularly awesome spiritual thread woven through it. Five stars aren’t enough to express how much I loved this book.
