2020 ACFW Conference and Storyfest

Important News about the 2020 ACFW Conference and Storyfest

It will probably not come as a surprise that due to all the issues surrounding the pandemic, we’ve made the difficult decision not to meet for the 2020 ACFW Conference in St. Louis this year. In the twenty-year history of ACFW, we have never before had to cancel the conference! But ultimately, we realized that even if things have settled down with the virus by September, so many of our members will still be adjusting and catching up financially, with business, work, school, and in so many other ways, that it seemed wise to wait until 2021 to reconvene.

Winners of the contests will be announced and celebrated at the regular times via an online venue, but 2020 winners will also be recognized and celebrated in person at the 2021 conference in New Orleans.
For those who applied for scholarships this year, we will carry over the 2020 awards to next year along with 2021 scholarship applicants. So if you applied for a scholarship this year, know that your application will carry over to 2021 and you won’t need to apply again. Winners for both 2020 and 2021 will be named early in 2021.

We are still figuring out some details and are considering the possibility and effectiveness of offering some sort of online conference, but there is much to be considered. Stay tuned to the loop for more information. We hope you are all safe and healthy and weathering this difficult storm with God’s help.

Please note this cancellation also includes the 2020 ACFW Storyfest. You are welcome to hold over your registration until the 2021 Storyfest in New Orleans, or you may request a refund from Pam at ct@acfw.com.

Blessings,
